Without the right planning, it is a fact that children can be taken into care if both parents die.  According to guidance from the British Bankers Association, if you don’ t have an enduring power of attorney in place then your partner will not be able to access a joint bank account should the worst happen.  Did you know that in order for medical decisions to be challenged, such as the continuation of life support, you need to have a lasting power of attorney?
